(2) Get Money for Buying a TV Converter Box
After February 17th, all TV transmissions will be digital. Anyone with an analog TV that uses an outdoor antenna or indoor rabbit ears to receive TV signals will need a special converter box.
Residents of nursing homes and assisted living can receive one $40 government coupon toward the purchase of the box.

Post office box holders are also eligible. They can apply for two coupons online or by calling: 888-388-2009.

A new Web site, www.medicare.gov/caregivers provides advice and answers for families hiring caregivers and for caregivers themselves.

A growing number of clinics and hospitals across the country are now offering free (or very low-cost) flu shots.
