Financial Counseling for Military FamiliesNovember 28, 2008 - The National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC) just announced that it has set up a financial education and counseling relationship with the Military OneSource Program (MOS).
Administered under a Department of Defense contract, MOS is designed to promote the overall well-being of military family members and provide them with the resources to handle life's everyday challenges. The NFCC will provide financial literacy education, lessons in both money management and the proper handling of debt as well as training and assistance with the processes involved in buying and financing a home.
Through the relationship with the NFCC, counseling will be provided by certified counselors through participating nonprofit member agencies located nationwide. Counseling is on a face-to-face basis, or by phone.
