Dunnan on Dollars Personal Finance Tips from Nancy Dunnan
Offices for At Home EntrepeneursApril 18, 2009 - Many Americans have responded to being laid off by setting up their own business, often consulting within their area of expertise.
I've come upon two Web sites that are not only useful, but will help entrepreneurs working from home save money. The first is called the Free Wi Fi Directory, which you'll find at: www.wififreespot.com. As the name implies, it lists thousands of free Wi-Fi spots around the world. It means you'll never again need to pay to connect to the Internet when you're not at home. The geographic categories are: - Africa
- Asia
- Australia
- Canada
- Caribbean
- Central America
- Europe
- Middle East
- Mexico
- New Zealand
- South America
- United States
For each free Wi-Fi spot, the directory provides the address, telephone number and a link. In addition to the geographic listings there are 5 special sections, also detailing free Wi-Fi access: - Airports
- Hotels, Motels, Inns & Resorts
- Regional Hotel & Motel Chains
- RV Parks & Campgrounds
- Vacation Rental Properties
The second is Regus at: www.regus.com . This site lists full-time offices, branch offices, startup offices, team rooms, hot desking, cubes, part-time offices, virtual office arrangements and conference rooms that you can rent on a temporary basis, including space at many airports. In addition, Regus offers advice for those working at home as well as for those who have a small start-up business. Nancy Dunnan
