IMKTA: a supermarket chain in the southeast United States, operating 200 supermarkets in Georgia (73), North Carolina (68), South Carolina (36), Tennessee (20), Virginia (two) and Alabama (one). Ingles supermarkets offer customers a variety of nationally advertised food products, including grocery, meat and dairy products, produce, frozen foods and other perishables, and non-food products. Non-food products include fuel centers, pharmacies, health and beauty care products and general merchandise. The Company also offers private label items. The Company operates three lines of business: retail grocery sales, shopping center rentals and a fluid dairy processing plant. BSI: a food retailer in the State of Israel. The Company also operate in the Non-Food sector, selling Non-Food items both in its supermarkets and in stand alone retail outlets. It also operates in the commercial real estate sector, in which the Company owns, lease and develops commercial properties. Through its supermarkets, which are owned and operated through its wholly owned subsidiary, Mega Retail Ltd., the Company offers a range of food and beverages products and Non-Food items, such as houseware, toys, small electrical appliances, computers and computer accessories, entertainment and leisure products and textile products, and Near-Food products, such as health and beauty aids, infants products, cosmetics and hygiene products. In September 2009, the Company announced that all of its real estate properties were transferred to Blue Square Real Estate Ltd.(BSRE). VLGEA: a chain of twenty-six ShopRite supermarkets, seventeen of which are located in northern New Jersey, one in northeastern Pennsylvania and eight in southern New Jersey. The Company is a member of Wakefern Food Corporation (Wakefern). On May 31, 2009, Village opened a new 67,600 sq. ft. store in Marmora, New Jersey. The Company operates a pharmacy at its location in Galloway Township, New Jersey. It also has a 67,000 sq. ft. store in Franklin, New Jersey. The larger store sizes enable the Company's superstores to provide a one-stop shopping experience and to feature expanded specialty departments, such as home meal replacement, an on-site bakery, an expanded delicatessen, including prepared foods, a variety of natural and organic foods, ethnic and international foods and a seafood section). |
