RPM: manufactures, markets and sells various specialty chemical product lines, including specialty paints, protective coatings, roofing systems, sealants and adhesives, focusing on the maintenance and improvement needs of both the industrial and consumer markets. The Company's family of products includes those marketed under brand names, such as Carboline, DAP, Day-Glo, Dryvit, EUCO, Fibergrate, Flecto, illbruck, Rust-Oleum, Stonhard, Tremco, Watco and Zinsser. RPM's business is divided into two segments. The industrial segment (Tremco Group, StonCor Group and RPM II/Industrial) includes maintenance and protection products for roofing and waterproofing systems, flooring, corrosion control and other specialty applications. The consumer segment (Rust-Oleum/Zinsser Group, DAP Group and RPM II/Consumer) includes rust-preventative, special-purpose and decorative paints, caulks, sealants, primers and other branded consumer products. MDU: a diversified natural resource company. Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. (Montana-Dakota), a public utility division of the Company, through the electric and natural gas distribution segments, generates, transmits and distributes electricity and distributes natural gas in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming. Cascade Natural Gas Corporation (Cascade), an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of MDU Energy Capital, distributes natural gas in Oregon and Washington. Intermountain Gas Company (Intermountain), an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of MDU Energy Capital, distributes natural gas in Idaho. In August 2009, the Company acquired the assets of Total Corrosion Solutions Inc. (TCS), a full-service cathodic protection company. ACO: operates in five segments: minerals, environmental, oilfield services, transportation and corporate. The Company's minerals segment mines, processes and distributes clays and products with similar applications for use in various industrial and consumer markets. AMCOL International's environmental segment processes and distributes clays and products with similar applications for use as a moisture barrier in commercial construction, landfill liners and a variety of other industrial and commercial applications. Its oilfield services segment provides both onshore and offshore water treatment filtration, pipeline separation, well testing, and other services for the oil and gas industry. The Company's transportation segment includes both a long-haul trucking business and a freight brokerage business for its subsidiaries, as well as third parties. Intersegment shipping revenues are eliminated in AMCOL International's corporate segmen. |
